Mediengruppe Klambt and Burda Verlag agree on long-term cooperation

As part of a strategic cooperation, the KLAMBT media group has commissioned the multi-channel marketer BCN to market its magazine portfolio and digital platforms with immediate effect. This includes high-reach, well-known titles such as Für Sie, Petra, Vital, Funk Uhr, Lea, Jolie and OK as well as ok-magazin.de. Only Grazia and graziamagazin.de are excluded from the cooperation.

Publishers Kai and Lars Rose comment: "As shareholders of a publishing house with a 177-year tradition and passion for media, we are convinced that incisive developments in markets require future-oriented decisions. We share a clear commitment to print media brands and their importance for the reader and advertising market with Burda and its marketer BCN".

Burda CEO Philipp Welte: "Today is a good day for the publishing industry, as this alliance will make us even more future-proof. In view of the ongoing challenges of quality journalism in competition with digital platforms, the intelligent bundling of our strengths is becoming increasingly important. We look forward to marketing the attractive portfolio of KLAMBT titles."

The cooperation will be led by BCN Managing Directors Burkhard Graßmann and Michael Samak as well as the previous KLAMBT Media Sales Management Jan Magatzki and Carmen Kleinfeldt and will be developed with a view to the future. With immediate effect, the BCN units will take over the marketing, including cross-media offer creation and aftersales for the KLAMBT portfolio. The central interface in BCN is the "Publisher Management" responsible for clients - with a dedicated team for KLAMBT, which will be based in Hamburg. Processing will be handled by the AdTech Factory.
