Author and bookseller Wilhelm Wenzel Klambt first publishes the weekly magazine "Der Hausfreund" in the Silesia town of Neurode, which continues to appear on newsstands until March 28th, 1937.

Klambt makes a second attempt to publish the Hausfreund magazine and establishes his own printing press. This day is still considered the publishing house‘s founding date.

Wilhelm Wenzel Klambt sells the "Hausfreund" publishing house to his son-in-law George Rose, who catapults the weekly magazine onto the road to success. In the eighties, the publication soon emerges as Silesia‘s most popular political weekly.

The Klambt-Verlag begins to offer insurance coverage to subscribers of the "Hausfreund". Over time, the insurance business grows and later spawns a cooperative agreement with the renowned "Nürnberger Versicherungsgruppe".

The small "Provincal Rag" from Silesia has established itself as Germany‘s most widely read politicial weekly magazine. The publishing house sets up branches in Hamm/Westphalia and Speyer on the Rhine.

An order issued by the German Reich‘s press department results in the folding of "Der Hausfreund".

Just a few days prior to the arrival of Soviet troops in Neurode, the Rose publishing family escapes to the West. The rebuilding of the company begins in the cathedral and imperial city of Speyer, Germany.

The first post war publication of "Hausfreund für Stadt und Land" hits newsstands and over the years evolves from a political weekly into a magazine for the eintire family.

Now a popular magazine distributed under the title "Frau mit Herz", the publication "Sonne ins Heim" is etsablished that year.

Klambt-Verlag acquires the title "7 TAGE", a flourishing entertainment magazine.

The Hausfreund magazine merges with "7 TAGE" and mutates into a colorful magazine under this title – one of the pioneering precursors of the tabloids. This marks the milestone that leads to the sustained success and popularity of the Klambt Group of Publishing Companies.

Klambt gets involved in private radio broadcasting and obtains a stake in Radio 4 in Rhineland-Palatinate. Later this investment spawns stakes in RPR and Radio Regenbogen.

Germany is reunited. The Group begins to distribute magazines in Eastern Germany again and obtains shares in new media wholesale distributors.

Over the past few years, the company has successfully launched new products on Germany‘s magazine market, including titles "DIE NEUE FRAU", "Welt der Frau", "Woche der FRAU" and "Lea". The range is complemented by dozens of publications raging from "Astrology" to "Folk Music"; thus covering a variety of consumer interests. In addition to subsidiaries such as the "Sonnenverlag", the "Klambt-Druck GmbH" – a preprinting service company- and the „Klambt u. Endres OHG“ - a general agency commisioned by "Nürnberger", the group also holds stakes in radio stations and wholesale distributors through its subsidiaries Klambt-Medien and Klambt-Presse.

Since 2002, the KLAMBT Publishing Group has also been a publisher of magazines targeting the European foreign markets such as France, Italy, Spain, Romania and Serbia.

On July 3rd 2003, by way of a conversion resolution, the Sonnenverlag GmbH (anb LLC) is converted into a German Limited Partnership. The conversion is registeres with the trade register in Baden-Baden on September 11th 2003 under number HRA 1406. Effective immediatly, the company‘s name is Sonnenverlag GmbH und Co. KG.

On April 21st 2004, the weekly women‘s magazine "FREIZEITWOCHE", published by the Freizeitwoche-Verlag, in which the Group of Publishers holds a 20% stake, makes its debut on the newsstands.

On March 31st 2007, the KLAMBT Publishing Group celebrates the premiere of its new weekly title "Woche aktuell" on the market. The new launch combines current people topics with an expansive service section.

In a joint venture with the British publishing enterprise Northern & Shell, the KLAMBT Publishing Group launches the people magazine OK! Into the German market on February 6th 2008. OK! Is available in more than 20 countries. Boasting more than 34 million readers a month, it is the world's largest tabloid magazine.

As of June 6th 2008, the monthly publication of the women's magazine Welt der Frau complements the segment of entertaining women's magazine. Effective January 3th 2009, the publication intervals of Welt der Frau are stepped up and it is now available every fortnight.

Effective March 2nd 2009, the company name KLAMBT is changed from Publishing Group to MEDIA GROUP to reflect the group's increasing level of internationalisation, involvement in new media business segments and the convergence of the individual publishing units and activites.

On May 14th 2009 the KLAMBT MEDIA GROUP presents its first OK! STYLE AWARD in conjunction with a glamourous award ceremony at the British Embassy in Berlin. It honours innovative and stylish product novelties on the consumer goods market.

The KLAMBT media group will put the German edition of the international weekly women magazine GRAZIA on the market on 11th February 2010. A corresponding licence agreement with the Mondadori publishing house in Milan was signed by both parties. GRAZIA is internationally renowned for its unique combination of opulent fashion production and intelligent news journalism.

The KLAMBT media group is launching "My Social Petwork" today - the social network for animals targeted at animal owners* in the Facebook generation. The KLAMBT media group has expanded its shares in private radio companies in Rhineland-Palatinate through its subsidiary Klambt-Medien GmbH. In addition to its holdings in Rhineland-Palatinate, KLAMBT is also involved in Radio Regenbogen, Mannheim, in Baden-Württemberg.

The KLAMBT media group launches the German edition of the international premium magazine Flair - the first magazine for fashion & home in the luxury sector. The licensor is the Milan-based publishing company Mondadori, which already has a licencing agreement for the weekly fashion magazine GRAZIA.

From 1 March, the Klambt media group will publish the magazine "Liebes Land", which has been in existence for five years. Klambt will be accepting a licence from Hannes Scholten Verlag, which is 100% owned by Paul Parey Verlag.

On 21 March, the spiritual women's magazine Happy Way will appear for the first time in the KLAMBT media group. The magazine accompanies the growing trend of searching for meaning and spiritual connection of body and mind. On 27 February, the KLAMBT media group organised the first KLAMBT EDITORIAL DAY for the healthcare industry in Baden-Baden. This was the first highlight of the event season for the OTC industry. Publisher Kai Rose had completely redesigned the event and invited executives from the pharmaceutical industry to the spa town.

On 1 May 2014, the KLAMBT media group will be taking over the programme magazines FUNKUHR, Bild-Woche, SUPER TV, TV neu!, die zwei, TV piccolino, tv GENIE, myTV, TV 4x7 and tv 4 Wochen from the Essener FUNKE MEDIENGRUPPE. These ten journals will be produced by KLAMBT-Programzeitschriften GmbH in Baden-Baden in future.

After the acquisition of ten programme magazines in 2015, the KLAMBT media group starts the second stage of their engagement in the TV magazine market with "tv4plus1".
