Speyer/Ismaning, April 13, 2026 - Due to the death of acting legend Mario Adorf (95) last Wednesday, an updated partial edition of the latest issue (first day of sale was April 11) of "die aktuelle" will be published in stores today (Monday, April 13). The revised edition honors the life's work of the exceptional artist and takes into account the readers' high demand for information.
"Mario Adorf has influenced generations of viewers and is one of the great faces of German film," says Roland Hag, editor-in-chief of "die aktuelle". "It was important to us to do justice to his significance and adapt our current issue at short notice to reflect this special moment."
In the updated partial edition, the editorial team is replacing the original cover and adding personal memories and numerous photos from Mario Adorf's long and successful TV and theater career to several special pages in the inside section. The reprint will be published in a partial edition that will be specifically placed in retail outlets with a strong presence in railroad stations and large cities, as well as at particularly high-traffic points of sale.
"Following the acquisition of the portfolio of weekly entertainment women's magazines from Funke last year, this investment shows that we are investing sustainably in our brands, developing them journalistically and further sharpening their respective profiles," explains Nicole Schumacher, CPO and Managing Director of the KLAMBT media group.
In August 2025, the relevant antitrust authorities officially approved the acquisition of the FUNKE titles die aktuelle, die aktuelle KRIMI, FRAU IM SPIEGEL, FRAU IM SPIEGEL Royal, NEUE WELT, DAS GOLDENE BLATT, ECHO DER FRAU and frau aktuell by the KLAMBT media group.
"die aktuelle" is one of Germany's best-known magazines covering the aristocracy, music, film and entertainment. Reports on VIPs, show stars and lifestyle are also among the core topics. Extensive wellness, beauty, health and food stories as well as advice and service sections round off the content spectrum. The paid circulation is around 160,000 copies every week. The cover price is 2.49 euros.
