THE MEDIENGRUPPE KLAMBT

Dear Readers,

In 1843, my great-great-great grandfather, author and bookseller Wilhelm Wenzel Klambt founded our publishing house in Neurode, Germany and began distributing our first magazine -  Hausfreund. Consequently, the KLAMBT Media Group is one of Germany’s oldest entertainment publishers.

The small publishing house hailing from rural Silesia has evolved into a modern media corporation that currently comprises a group of more than 10 companies and boasts an inside sales and field sales workforce of more than 650.  The enterprise has long expanded its international activities beyond Germany and the German-speaking parts of Europe to other countries.

Besides the publication of magazines, the corporation’s core business also includes the operation of two nationwide engaged General Insurance Agencies that have acquired 110 years of experience in the solicitation of insurance policies and the collection of insurance premiums.

In addition, the Group holds stakes in several magazines covering different segments and in media distribution companies.

The traditional business segments of our Group of Companies are supported by investments into private radio broadcasters.

Despite the changes our family owned and operated business has gone through in the past 160 years, we have always remained true to our founder’s principle: "Stay economically autonomous from third parties, express your opinions freely and stay committed to the reader.“

For us, the fact that our company is steeped in such deep traditions is a challenge and also an obligation.

Yours sincerely, Lars Joachim Rose
chairman
